"Like a squeeze monkey?" Hank asked bluntly, raising an eyebrow. At Olivia's look, she shrugged. "What? I felt it when I first got here, too! I was the only one not paired off, and it sucked ass! So I been there, done that, got the frickin' t-shirt...and frankly, I'm glad I ain't wearin' it no more."
With a huff, she sat up enough to crawl up on the mattress and stretch out next to Olivia, removing the pillow from beneath her head to lay flat out on her back. "Maybe it's the family itself...I mean, I know we're in there? But we ain't *in* there. Dad, Aunt Keeks, Uncle Jules...you ain't getting in that damn circle. And Bee 'n Carter...they sorta got it, too, just not as hardcore."
She paused, toying with her own fingers with a nonchalant shrug. "I'm not getting all mushy and shit, but they got these lives, y'know? These memories they share, and their folks...we don't got a place in that, so we're kinda the odd ones out."
